The Challenge: Incomplete Solutions, High Costs

Even at the forefront of innovation, the options for health information management were limited. Outsourced HIM vendors took days or weeks to retrieve records, dumping hundreds of pages on clinical teams to review manually. Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) offered faster access — but only for partial data.

With each new patient requiring roughly 40 minutes of prep time and up to 5 days for full record retrieval, the network maintained a team of 65 FTEs dedicated solely to medical records.

The Solution: Fully-Managed Health Data from Predoc

Predoc brought a fundamentally different approach: a fully-managed, AI health information service that not only retrieves comprehensive records faster, but also organizes, indexes, and summarizes patient data in custom Facesheets — tailored to each specialty's most relevant data.

After a successful pilot which demonstrated the efficiency and efficacy of Predoc's retrieval, the team worked to fully integrate, sending indexed patient data back into the network's EHR. After conducting new patient intake, record requests are automatically transmitted to Predoc through Predoc's API integration, which kicks off the Predoc process. Once received, unified, and indexed into clinically-relevant categories, records are safely and securely transmitted back to the network's EHR. Onsite staff can access the results without ever having to leave their native EHR.

Retrieval time dropped by 75% from 5 days to just 18 hours. Patient prep time dropped 70% from 40 minutes to under 10. The medical records team went from 65 to 0, driving ~$2M in annual savings. And record retrieval rates jumped to 90%+, outperforming industry benchmarks.
